How to play Word Hunt

  • Every player hunts the same grid for the same themed list of words — drag across the letters to trace a word out.
  • Words read in a straight line: across, down, and — from Medium up — diagonally. Hard hides them backwards too.
  • Each word you find is crossed off your legend and stays highlighted on the grid.
  • Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard when you create the game — bigger grids, more words, and trickier directions.
  • Watch your rivals’ word counts climb live; the first player to clear the whole list wins. Go solo to chase your best time.

Word Hunt — frequently asked questions

How do you play Word Hunt?

Every player gets the same letter grid and the same themed list of words. Drag your finger or mouse from a word’s first letter to its last to trace it out — get it right and it is crossed off your list and stays highlighted on the grid.

Which directions can the words run in?

On Easy words only read across and down. Medium adds both diagonals, and Hard hides them backwards and bottom-to-top as well, so all eight directions are in play.

What do the difficulty levels change?

Easy is a 10×10 grid with 8 words, Medium a 13×13 with 12, and Hard a 16×16 with 15 — and the harder presets lay the words in trickier directions. Your best time is tracked separately for each.

How many players can play Word Hunt?

Up to 6 players race the same grid at once and you can watch everyone’s word count climb live; the first to find them all wins. Playing alone turns it into a time trial against your own personal best.
