How to play Backgammon
- Roll the dice and move your fifteen checkers around the board toward your home, playing each die as a separate move (doubles play four times).
- Land on a point with a single enemy checker to hit it and send it to the bar — a checker on the bar must re-enter before you make any other move.
- Two or more of your checkers make a point your opponent cannot land on, so build blocks and avoid leaving exposed blots.
- Once all your checkers reach your home board you can bear them off; the first player to bear off all fifteen wins.

How do you win at backgammon?

What does hitting a blot mean?
A blot is a point holding a single checker. Land on your opponent’s blot and you hit it, sending that checker to the bar — it must re-enter on the far side before they can make any other move.
